Lilja the Label W's High-Waisted Leggings - Recycled PA
Our sustainable High-Waisted Leggings are a part of our new activewear collection called North. This collection is inspired by the rough but resistant nature we have here in the north where Lilja the Label is from. We wanted to celebrate the gorgeous autumn hues Northern Europe offers when seasons change.
Kaamos, the name we gave the black variation of these leggings, is a Finnish word for polar night. The polar night occurs in the northernmost and southernmost parts of the world, only inside the polar circles, where the night in winter lasts for more than 24 hours. This means that for example in Lapland, the sun does not rise for up to 50 days. The polar night is a time for rest, relaxation, looking inward and stopping for a while.
Sini , the name we gave the midnight blue variation of of these leggings, is a Finnish word for the colour blue. This reminds us of the blue hour, a period of twilight where the sun is well below the horizon and the indirect sunlight takes a blue hue. This hue is especially dominant in winter when the northern parts of Europe get less sunlight and the sun stays below the horizon for longer.
These leggings are made from recycled plastic waste collected from our oceans (Econyl) – and then recreated into these gorgeous workout leggings! These leggings offer a high waistline for maximal support and coverage, flattering v-cut and full ankle length. Our activewear items are perfect for all indoor and outdoor activities, whether your thing is running, gym, yoga or just lounging! Our supportive 4-way stretchy fabric offers support and compression where needed without sacrificing comfort.
